Jaguar Opts Out of Detroit Auto Show

While many automakers focus on where the market is now, a truly wise company will take the time to consider where the market is heading next. For this reason, Jaguar has opted out of displaying models at the Detroit Auto Show (North American International Auto Show) and chosen to channel the New Delhi Auto Expo instead. Both automotive showcasing events take place around the same time and when it comes down to it, India's market has been showing an undeniable amount of market growth.
Despite its decision to hold back from Detroit, Jaguar does acknowledge the show's world-class standing and importance. Stuart Schorr, Vice President of Communications explains, "This decision was driven by the fact that since our newest concept vehicles were featured at the Frankfurt show and will be featured at the upcoming Los Angeles Show, we decided to show them next in the Delhi Show in January as part of our effort to build our brands in this growing market."1
Though some luxury consumers may feel a bit disheartened to miss out on new Jaguar models, in Detroit; Manhattan Jaguar NYC takes pride in knowing that the brand believes in doing what is best. Aside from the possibility of global expansion in India, Jaguar has additional reasons to back its decision. For example, participating in a show of NAIAS-standing is rather cost-consuming, not to mention requires a great deal of time.
At this point, company officials have not disclosed whether or not the luxury brand will return to NAIAS in 2013. However, Manhattan Jaguar NYC is more than happy to inform you with any new information we receive. In the meantime, contact us with any questions you may have regarding Jaguar and its decisions.
