Jaguar's APEAL is First Class

New Jaguar models' appeal can be outdone by scarcely any other automaker in the world. We here at Manhattan Jaguar NYC can attest to this, but sometimes its best to have another source as well. Enter stage right: J.D. Power and Associates with their 2011 Automotive Performance, Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.

Jaguar has ranked second overall in the brand ranking segment of the APEAL Study for the fourth year in a row. The APEAL Study takes into account 32 brands and rates them based on owner evaluations of more than 80 attributes, scoring both vehicles and automakers as a whole on a scale of 1,000 points. These include performance, design, fuel economy, and standard features.

Specific models are also ranked in various segments, including Midsize Premium Car, Large Premium Crossover SUV, and Compact Sporty Car. In the Midsize Premium Car segment, the Jaguar XF pulled in 844 points, whikch placed it in impressive third place. The all-new 2011 Jaguar XJ received an incredible 867 points in its segment as well.

Furthermore, while it wasn't exactly sibling rivalry, Jaguar's sister company Land Rover also did well in the APEAL study. Specifically, Land Rover brought it an impressive 841 points, which positioned it in fourth place overall in the study.

"We are extremely proud that our vehicles continue to excel in the esteemed J.D. Power APEAL study," says Andy Goss, President of Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. "The fact that both Jaguar and Land Rover brands rank highly in these important rankings underscores that we are a premium automotive company with two luxury brands that excel in providing our customers with quality vehicles that deliver extraordinary performance, innovative technology, and superior styling."1
