Jaguar Donates Nearly $12,500 to Children's Charity

Jaguar might be busy creating opulent luxury car design schemes and honing driving experience beyond perfection; but they're making the time to lend a helping hand to a very good cause: Acorns Sibling Programme. Over the course of six years, Jaguar has contributed over ?43,000 ($67,000) to the worthy cause, which aims to help children receiving care at the Midlands Hospice in Birmingham, UK. Now, they've promised ?8,000 (almost $12,500) to help pay for activities held at Midlands Hospice throughout the coming year.

Jaguar is the silent, quiet type when it comes to their generosity, giving for the sake of helping others, rather than to build pomp and circumstance. But, Manhattan Jaguar NYC thinks it's important for drivers in the New York City area to know just how kind-spirited Jaguar is. More than donating thousands-of-dollars worth of funds to the Acorns Sibling Programme to help children's brothers and sisters get the care they need/deserve; Jaguar is actually the company responsible for organizing the program.

Jaguar established Acorns Sibling Programme nearly 11 years ago, in 2001. And while, they have remained committed to supporting the program since it first launched, Jaguar is ecstatic to have the opportunity to once again reinforce their belief in it. Speaking on the charitable foundation, April Wickens, Community Relations Officer, Jaguar Land Rover says, "We are pleased to re-establish our partnership with Acorn, a local charity close to our manufacturing facilities, and in particular to support the Siblings Project."1 According to Elinor Eustace, of Acorns Children's Hospice, the project currently supports over 300 siblings of all ages and will be able to enhance the level of support provided with Jaguar's benevolent contribution.
