Select Limited-Edition Jaguar C-X75 Supercars Now Getting Turbine Power

It was two decades ago that Jaguar presented the XJ220 Super car to the world. This unfortunately, has been their only super car.
Therefore, two years ago when the pouncing cat launched its concept, the Jaguar C-X75, we at Manhattan Jaguar NYC were really excited. In this fierce looking vehicle, you could find not one, but two turbines making up the powerplant.
You are probably wondering, as we did, whether this sleek vehicle will ever become a reality. Last year, we got our answer: YES! However, it would not come exactly as the concept was designed, as a hybrid turbo design would replace the twin-turbine powerplant.
However, nothing is ever set in stone, right? Not too long ago, Jaguar disclosed that a fraction of the 250 Jaguar C-X75 models to be made will feature the small micro-turbines, mimicking the concept. There is also the fact that it's a bit easier to incorporate this part when Bladon Jets Engineering Centre, the organization responsible for producing the micro-turbines, is also owned by Jaguar's parent company Tata.
So why all the hype about these turbines? These slightly smaller version of jet airplanes' turbines, are actually quite a bit more advanced. They do not require the same cooling lubrication as their traditional counterparts, which results in less weight, and easier to fit in the car. The Jaguar C-X75 supercar's design actually allows for a hybrid powerplant to accompany the turbines.
What does all of this mean for speed and power? Well, how does a 0 to 60 time of thee seconds sound? And you can also feel confident that your car is performing at maximum efficiency.
